White clothes can be quite frustrating as they easily get stained with Grey, brown or yellow shades making them unwearable quickly. To avert this there are diverse means to help keep whites white.
1. Remove tough stains
To remove tough stains, pre-soak whites in hot water with a 1/4 cup cleaning powder, lemon juice, and a teaspoon of salt. Rinse two-three times.
2. Make whites whiter
To achieve this, apply a tablespoon of baking soda on the discolored area and rub with lemon. Let it drain for 15 minutes and clean with warm water.
3. Use lemon as an all-purpose Bleach
Lemons make an excellent all-purpose bleach since they don’t damage fabrics. To make whites white using lemon, wash clothes in a bowl of heated water with sliced lemon for 40 minutes and clean as normal.
4. Wash delicate clothes
Wash delicate clothes by soaking in a mixture of 1/4 cup of laundry detergent, hydrogen peroxide and warm water for 30 minutes. Rinse.
5. Intense washing
Intense washing of whites involves using a quick fix of hydrogen peroxide, ammonia, and water. Soak whites in this mix and rinse. Use protective gear when using intense washing to clean whites.
6. Natural fabric softener
Using a 1/2 cup of white vinegar and heated water, soak your clothes for 40 minutes and brush the stained area with soap.
7. Washing Linen
Are excellent at making whites soft and delightful to the skin.
In a bucket of sour milk, dip your whites for 1-2 hours and then clean as regular. If needed, repeat the soaking.
